This Privacy Policy explains how Goal Bloom collects, uses, and protects information when you use our mobile application and related services. By using the app you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

Information We Collect

– Identity for sign-in: When you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your Google account UID, name, email address, and profile photo URL. Authentication is handled by Google Sign-In and Firebase Authentication.

– Goal and progress data you enter: Goal titles, descriptions, categories, milestones, reminders, target/current values, deadlines, colors/icons, and timestamps. These are stored on your device (for offline use) and in our cloud database when you are signed in and choose to sync.

– Local storage data: Cached goals and a lightweight auth session token are stored on your device via AsyncStorage so the app works offline. You can clear this from the Profile tab.

– No sensitive device data: The app does not request or collect location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos, or payment information. We do not run ads or third-party marketing SDKs. Firebase Analytics is not enabled in the app.

How We Use Information

– Provide account creation and authentication via Google Sign-In and Firebase.

– Save, sync, and restore your goals across devices when you sign in.

– Enable offline use by caching your data on your device.

– Maintain security, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot errors.

Where Your Data Is Stored

– On your device: Goals and session data are cached locally so you can work offline.

– In the cloud (when signed in): User profiles and synced goals are stored in Google Firebase Firestore. Firebase Authentication manages sign-in credentials.

Data Sharing

– We do not sell or rent your data.

– We share data only with service providers needed to run the app: Google Firebase (Auth and Firestore) and Google Sign-In. These providers process data under their own privacy terms.

– We do not use advertising networks.

Data Retention

– Local data stays on your device until you clear it in the Profile tab or uninstall the app.

– Cloud data (your profile and synced goals) is retained until you ask us to delete it or remove it yourself by clearing local data and requesting cloud deletion.

Your Choices and Controls

– Use the app without signing in to keep data on your device only.

– Sign out at any time (Profile tab). Local data remains until you clear it.

– Clear all local data from the Profile tab to remove cached goals from your device.

– To delete cloud data or request a copy of your data, contact us at the email below. You can also revoke Google account access from your Google Account settings.

Security

Data in transit is protected with TLS. Cloud data is stored in Firebase with access controls. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we apply reasonable safeguards.

Children’s Privacy

The app can be used by childrens under 13 also. 

Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes, we will update this file and adjust the ‘Last updated’ date.
